Hello everyone!
 
I hope everyone is doing well and is excited about getting involved in AGS this semester!
 
Please make sure you attend the next general meeting day of your choice:
 
Monday, September 28 from 4:00pm-5:00PM (SS Conference Rooms A & B)
Tuesday, September 29 from 2:00PM-3:00PM (HC 171)
 
And please be sure to bring your AGS membership applications with your unofficial transcripts and $20 fee. The last day to turn in applications is September 30, after that there will be a $10 flat late fee.
 
Also, there is currently still a vacant position on the AGS board, the Teacher Appreciation Dinner (TAD) Coordinator. I strongly encourage anyone who may be interested to please ask me questions and contact me by email or ask during our next general meeting. I know it can seem daunting to take a position you may know nothing about, so please ask questions and I will happily work with you to see if this is something you might want to take on.
 
As the TAD Coordinator you will be asked to do such things as helping to decide a theme for the dinner, find food for the event, make reservations and arrange dates. You will also have a TAD committee to help you throughout the process. Members of the committee include some of the AGS board, who will also help with planning the event throughout the semester.
 
Please consider whether you think this is something for you! It can be a very awarding experience to plan an event and see it all come together.
 
As a last note, if you were unable to attend the first general meeting dates please watch the video of the meeting in the Media Center. It is required that you either attend the meetings in person or if you are unable that you watch the video. If you do watch the video, please remember to sign your name and the date on the tape.

The AGS Office is located on the lower level of the Student Services Building, just steps from the Cafeteria in room SS 119. Each board member holds at least one office hour per week and can be contacted in person or by phone during their office hour(s).

eligibility

Current enrollment at College of Marin

Completion within the last two years of 12 graded units in a maximum of 3 semesters or 5 quarters at any recognized institution of higher education

A grade point average of 3.0 or better from the previous semester or a cumulative grade point average of 3.0

Life membership in the California Scholarship Federation (the State High School Honor Society)
